Description:
Reporting to the General Manager of the Resort, this is an opportunity for a seasoned hotelier with a track record of achievements within luxury hotels to further foster his/her industry reputation at Gili Lankanfushi Maldives. The Resort was recognised as the No. 1 hotel in the Maldives and top 5 best hotel in the World - 2018 TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice™ awards.
This position is responsible for effective leadership and management of the operational Division and Departments (F&B, Rooms, Engineering, Security and Spa), paying particular attention to the development and implementation of customer acquirement, retention and expansion strategies and tactical actions while maintaining brand and company standards for guest satisfaction, employee satisfaction and internal processes.
Visit Requirements:
This position suits a career hotelier with a minimum of 16 years exposure in the industry that includes a demonstrated 3-year track record of managing day to day operations in a second-in-command role.
It is envisaged success in the position requires a leadership stature with the ability to gain immediate professional credibility through possessing:
- the capability to proactively provide sound operating advice and coach Division and Department Heads under his/her supervision primarily and other employees, where appropriate.
- the ability to communicate and influence at all levels through clear, informed and logical argument and discussion, tempered by a sense of humour, when appropriate.
- the ability to build effective relationships and influence positive outcomes through possessing a progressive and participative management style.
