Requirements:
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 03 years’ experience in a similar role within a luxury resort/hotel.
- Be up-to-date with current trends/techniques in the World of Wellness
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure leading a diverse multicultural team.
- Previous 'remote living'/Island experience highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal communicator with personable character, good in relation-building.
- Strong technical and people management skills.
- Understands and respects local cultural, able to adapt to changing environment.
- Ability to sell concepts and ideas to management, peers and colleagues, demonstrates success in revenue achievement and expense management.
- Ability to understand and achieve established targets in terms of sales and spa revenue.
- Computer skills, particularly in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Should certified in either of CISDESCO, ITEC or CIBTAC or with relevant certification
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure that all Spa hosts, including self, maintain high levels of personal hygiene and grooming at all times and report for work in the correct uniform.
- Interact and build a strong rapport with guests and provide consultations as required
- Ensure that all Spa services and therapies are delivered as per the Manual and in an ethical manner whilst respecting guest privacy.
- Ensure all Spa products are prepared and set-up according to the standards that are laid down and adhere to strict hygiene procedures.
- Responsible for recruitment of staff members and visiting practitioners
- Prepare staff rosters to ensure optimum manning of the Spa.
- Approve all the Spa timesheets to check that they are correct.
- Monitor and record overtime, punctuality and sick leave.
- Deal with any disciplinary matters concerning Spa staff.
- Facilitate effective inter-departmental transactions especially with laundry and Food and Beverage where requisitions are concerned.
- Conduct regular checks on cleanliness and maintenance within the Spa and addresses any issues.
- Develop a working knowledge of all policies and procedures as detailed in the Spa Operations and treatment protocols Manual.
- Review service delivery on a weekly basis and promptly address any matters which require follow up.
- Hold daily briefings with the Spa team and delegate all tasks as required.
- Represent the Spa at departmental meetings.
- Review treatment and retail sales and develop and implement promotions.
- Participate in the development of the annual business plan for the Spa
- Maintain an audit system and regularly check main policies and procedures.
- Submit daily/weekly reports to Finance department.
- Work with Purchasing to ensure that clear product specifications are given.
- Ensure that all products are correctly stored and stocks are rotated to reduce spoilage and items going out-of-date.
- Establish continuity of supply of essential items but avoid overstocking.
- Responsible for maintaining a comprehensive Spa Operations manual.
- Carry out Manager on Duty shifts as per the monthly resort schedule.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Resort Manager / General Manager.
