  1. Set high personal and professional standards for the department under your supervision by your own performance.

  10. Adjust to changes in job requirements and the resort’s operational strategies to meet business needs.

  12. Help to contribute to the annual business plan.
  13. Monitor your division’s budget and proactively implement corrective action where necessary.
  14. Control costs whilst ensuring the resort’s guests get value for money.
  15. Have a keen understanding of the resort’s market segments and their expectations.
  16. Constantly seek to identify unmet Guest’s needs and work towards developing new/improving current products and strategies to sustain our competitive advantage.
  17. Know the resort’s current and potential competitors.
  18. Understand the product image the company aims to project and ensure that image is reflected in every aspect of the manner in which you manage your division.
  19. Communicate effectively within the organization at all levels using the most appropriate communication method for the matter concerned.
  20. Conduct regular brief, concise, well-prepared meetings and ensure follow-up.
  21. Communicate with guests and be visible in the local community as a representative of the Resort.
  22. Maintain an efficient and effective administrative system in your division.
  23. Set policies and procedures pertaining to your division’s operation and ensure all manuals are up to date.
  24. Ensure all your divisional policies and procedures are in synergy with related departments and company guidelines.
  25. Understand the resort’s general policies and procedures and align all your division’s activities and your personal actions as a senior manager.
  26. Maximize the use of available technology and systems to get results.
  27. Ensure the facilities, equipment and offices under your supervision are maintained in excellent condition.
  28. Manage Reservations team.
  29. Set up systems for tracking and monitoring conversion rates.
  30. Manage processes and systems of Revenue Management.
  31. Identifying need and trough periods, and periods of high demand, and implement appropriate strategies to maximize yield.
  32. Report on productivity of Reservations team to identify training needs.
  33. Monitor competitors and region to assess relevance of rate strategies.
  34. Drive yield meetings.
  35. Produce and communicate forecasts.
  36. Track and measure advertising and promotional campaigns.
  37. Track and measure on-line sales presence.
  38. Manage resorts’ presence on GDS.
  39. Manage resort’s presence on resort website and third-party websites
  40. Produce reports:
    1. Pick up reports
    2. Forecast reports
    3. Group wash reports
    4. Productivity reports
    5. End of month reporting
    6. Loyalty Programs
    7. Market segmentation report
    8. Competitor statistics report
    9. Nationality report
  41. Have a good understanding of the resort’s emergency procedures and ensure implementation of those related to your division when required.
  42. Maintain an open door policy and hands on attitude at all times.
  43. Perform additional duties as required by the Director of Sales & Marketing.
