SCOPE OF POSITION

The Sales Manager will play a critical role in assisting the Director of Sales & Marketing in leading the Team, to develop and implement the strategic sales plan leading to the achievement of the department/resorts sales targets. You will develop and deliver a comprehensive, strategic, and tactical plan for the business, income generation, and profit conversion.  You will also ensure that all clients are maintained and retained by building loyalty and rapport through quality service.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree or Diploma in Sales and Marketing.
  • Minimum of two years experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Experience setting sales goals
  • Results-oriented with strong analytical skills

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Always present a positive and appropriate image of the resort and company in accordance with the mission, vision, and philosophy.
  • Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching, and performance monitoring of sales representatives.
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
  • Present sales, revenue, and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.
  • Work with the Director of Sales and Marketing / General Manager to devise and implement an annual sales plan.
  • Further devise and implement short-term quarterly action plans to drive critical activity to meet key objectives.
  • Liaise with the Revenue/E-Commerce Manager to review occupancy forecasts and predict levels of activity.
  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team.
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensures its strong presence.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Produce a monthly report summarizing, room nights, activity, and points of interest.
  • Review any promotions and campaigns to assess the effectiveness and decide on future action.
  • Attend trade shows, sales calls/give sales training in conjunction with Sales and Marketing Business plan.
  • Work with the Director of Sales and Marketing to develop offers for specific tactical campaigns during periods of low occupancy.
  • Support Director of Sales and Marketing in providing accurate forecast information in a timely manner towards presenting the budgets and Business Plan to the HPL Hotels and Resorts board annually.
