We are seeking a passionate and Sous Chef – Japanese Cuisine to join our culinary team. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, you will play a key role in supporting both the strategic and day-to-day operations of the kitchen. Your responsibilities include ensuring exceptional quality, consistency, and presentation across all Japanese cuisine offerings, while upholding the resort’s brand standards. The role emphasizes leadership, teamwork, food safety, and delivering memorable dining experiences that delight our guests.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 05 years’ experience in similar role.
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior culinary role specializing in Japanese cuisine.
- In-depth knowledge of traditional and modern Japanese cooking techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, train, and motivate a multicultural team.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations.
- Creativity and passion for delivering authentic and innovative Japanese dishes.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.
- Good communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
- Formal culinary education or equivalent professional training is preferred.
